WHO WE ARE

We work in the complicated middle of family life.

You have been doing the work. Reading the books, listening to the podcasts, trying to show up better in your marriage, your parenting, your co-parenting. But you keep hitting the same wall. Not because you are not trying, because the pattern underneath has not shifted yet.

That is exactly where this work begins.

Ra'Shunda and Jason Adams are not teaching from a textbook. They are doing this work inside their own marriage, in real time, in public, and have been for years. The conflict, the communication breakdowns, the generational patterns that show up uninvited, the decision to keep choosing each other anyway. That lived experience is what makes their work different from everyone else in this space.

Ra'Shunda brings it as a licensed marriage and family therapist associate specializing in co-parenting, parenting, and individual therapy for women. Jason brings it as a relationship coach and marriage educator. Together they co-host The B-Side of Marriage, an honest conversation about what it actually takes to stay connected.

WHAT WE OFFER

Two lanes. One family.

THE PODCAST

Honest conversation. No highlight reel.

The B-Side of Marriage Podcast

Hosted by Ra'Shunda and Jason Adams. The actual work — conflict, co-parenting, generational patterns, and what it takes to stay connected over time.

QUESTIONS PEOPLE ASK BEFORE REACHING OUT

Nothing is off limits here either.

  • Coaching is structured support focused on tools, communication skills, and accountability — no diagnosis, no treatment plan, not governed by clinical licensing standards. Therapy is licensed clinical work that goes deeper into emotional processing, mental health, and patterns rooted in trauma or attachment. Ra'Shunda provides licensed therapy through Aim for Healing Therapy, PLLC. Jason provides coaching through The B-Side of Marriage. Both are available here — the discovery call helps determine which lane fits your situation.

  • No, and the couples who get the most out of this work are the ones who come before things fall apart. If you can feel that something needs to shift, that is enough of a reason to start. Waiting until things are at a breaking point means more to rebuild.

  • Yes. One person changing how they show up changes the dynamic between two people. You cannot control whether your partner comes — but you can start. The discovery call is a good place to figure out what makes sense given where your partner is right now.

  • That is exactly what the discovery call is for: to understand what did not work before and whether this is a different fit. Sometimes it was the wrong format. Sometimes one person was not ready. Sometimes the approach was not right for the specific pattern. Context matters here and Ra'Shunda and Jason will tell you honestly if they think they can help.

  • Yes, and it is one of the things that makes this work different. When one person is facilitating, the other partner often feels like the session is tilted against them. Having both Ra'Shunda and Jason means neither partner has to fight to feel heard. Jason holds the male perspective. Ra'Shunda holds the structure. Both of you are seen.

  • Yes. Premarital coaching is one of the most valuable things a couple can do, and one of the most underutilized. Ra'Shunda and Jason work with engaged couples and seriously dating couples who want to build the right foundation before the wedding rather than discover the cracks after.

  • Coaching services through The B-Side of Marriage do not bill insurance. Therapy services through Aim for Healing Therapy, PLLC are private pay, a Good Faith Estimate is available upon request and some clients use HSA or FSA funds. Your insurance provider can tell you whether out-of-network reimbursement applies.

  • Yes. All coaching and therapy services are available virtually to anyone in Texas. In-person sessions and intensives are available in the Katy, TX area.

  • No. Faith is part of Ra'Shunda and Jason's story and they are not shy about it, but they work with couples across all backgrounds and beliefs. You do not have to share their faith for this to be the right fit.

  • Book a free discovery call through Sessions Health. It takes fifteen minutes, it is free, and it is where you figure out together whether this is the right fit and which service makes the most sense for where you are right now.

The pattern underneath can shift.

Whether you need coaching, licensed therapy, or you are just not sure yet — the right place to start is a free fifteen-minute conversation. Nothing is off limits.
