Jason is a Houston/Katy photographer that has had photography evolve from a hobby into an unexpected passion. He loves to share his photography with others by helping to capture life's memorable moments that can be reflected on for years and years to come. He is a story teller, so through his photography, he focuses on capturing those honest and intimate moments, while blending those with elegantly candid portraits, rather than the traditional practice of only picture - taking. During your session or event, he will convey the true essence of your personality or the vibe of the event. He loves shooting married couples, but is available to capture the essence of your family, engagement, or any other social or corporate event. Click here to schedule your shoot today!!

Events
What a great opportunity I had to shoot the saved by the barbell event at crossfit elevate.
Lisa's birthday celebration was an incredibly fun event to work. Her family was very warm to me, and they sure knew how to party. Lisa had a second line band play and they were truly amazing. The family and friends in attendance did not leave the dance floor while the band played(roughly 30 mins straight). I am grateful she allowed me to capture these moments for her birthday. Here is a little tease from her event.
I had a great time shooting for Dinah's Birthday party at Lake Olympia Marina Clubhouse. This is a close family and you can see the faith and love they have for one another.
A surprise birthday party for a brother of mine. Thank you for allowing me to be there to celebrate your 30th birthday. We laughed, danced and sang.
What a great time I had shooting my cousin Angie and William at their wedding. I am so happy to have been a part of their big day. Here are just a few great memories we captured. Enjoy!
Couples/Family
This session I was sooo looking forward to shoot. Over the past 2 years my wife and I have gotten so close to this family and I feel blessed to be able to capture their love, joy and their joy for worship music.
The many faces of the Adams tribe. They keep us going and always bring a smile to our face.
LeRodrius and Shameka were so incredibly fun to work with. We spent their anniversary session walking around the Oyster Creek park in Sugarland,TX, and I loved how they interacted with one another……..
It so much fun to shoot this little man. He was such a trooper and enjoyed getting to use all the props he had. I honestly think, he just wanted to putting on his Spider-Man costume. Thanks to Ra'Shunda Adams for the great concept.
Portraits
What a fun time I had doing headshots with @nusaybahnick. So many jokes that happened that shoot.
Its been a while since I have posted to the blog. I started shooting for my church and it has been a great learning experience. The power of telling a story so the world can see Jesus has been an awesome experience. Here are a few highlights from the past 6 months.
I came across a old photo of my dad playing the saxaphone and was intrigued in recreating the image using low key fundamentals
Exploring one light setup from above. With the movie black panther being in the theater, I wanted to create a portrait to reflect the excellence this movie portrayed.
Every so often, I work on honing my lighting techniques and bring in a fellow photographer to work on different techniques. As the title says we are exploring the clamshell lighting technique.
Finally got to take some portraits of an actress who happens to be my niece during the Thanksgiving Holiday. Wasn’t able to get outside to shoot and was still able to get some good shots.
The many faces of the Adams tribe. They keep us going and always bring a smile to our face.
Since I am at work most of the time, I thought I'd take some shots of the environment I am around. I work in sports television and I took these shots with no extra lighting. I wanted to get the feel of the environment in it natural lighting.
This week I did not know what to really shoot. Then I was driving past this and thought this was exactly what I needed
This is was tough as well. I was looking for an open area where I could paint a picture of calm place where someone could mediate. I came across this park in Katy, TX that was just the type of place. After I took a few shots I stopped, prayed and spoke to God.
I took different portraits for this weeks challenge and they did not come out the way I wanted. Went to the park with my son and saw him climbing down the spiral thing and quickly took a shot and it came out nicely I might add.
I am a little late posting this photo mainly because my schedule has been busy and it took me a while to find something that I like candy wise. Then it hit me in the face, it was right in front of face every time I watch a movie.
Another tough week to be creative. It did not hit me until I sat down to a glass of merlot. As I poured my glass all I could think about was the smoothness, boldness of the wine. For this challenge I didn't use actual wine, I used water and food color.
This was pretty tough this week. Had to scout out a landscape that was different than the typical outdoorsie type landscape. I was looking for a Cityscape that was interesting. This is what I came up with. I would love your thoughts.
At the end of last year I realized that I had not picked up my camera that often. I decided this year to develop my skills more and embarking on the Dogwood 52 week challenge. Each week I will have a specific type of portrait I would need to take and I will post so you can see the development of my portraits……
It was my extreme pleasure to take portraits with Lisa. She recently received her MBA from Texas Woman's University in Houston, TX………….
It was fun to shoot some graduations portraits with my nephew. The entire family is proud of his dedication to baseball and his studies.
My first Self portrait. “A Man with Many Hats”. The idea I came up with this photo was to show the many layers and hats i use. It took me about 35 minutes to do this portrait.
