Episode - 60 - Rewind: Adversity Paradox | #Bsideofmarriage Podcast

Everyone grows up with a certain level of adversity in their childhood and throughout their lives. Meaning there's a certain amount of emotional bacteria that you build up to help you navigate those life challenges.

So when you start having kids, you don't want them to experience the same level of problems and difficulties, so you create an environment for them that is sanitized. It keeps them away from the situations that you experienced while growing up, but that also means that they don't get to learn those same lessons. You run the risk of your kids not being prepared for heartbreak, defending themselves, etc.

On this week of the B-Side of Marriage podcast rewind episode , Jason and Ra’Shunda talk about this and how they plan to balance protecting their kids from certain life experiences vs. letting them grow from some hard knock life experiences.
